Why is there a... uhm... plate on a frying pan?

If you step into my kitchen and wonder why there is a toasted salami sandwich hidden away on a frying pan, still on its plate and tucked away under a lid - then it's because I'm not in a mood for sharing.

I made myself this lovely sandwich and just as I was about to tuck into it, both kids ran into the kitchen. Hurriedly, I threw the plate onto a frying pan and covered with a lid, lest my kids see it, because sometimes, just sometimes!, I want to make myself a lovely plate of food and not have to share it with anyone. I want to eat it peacefully, without anyone hanging off my leg, demanding, "More? Moooore?? Mooooooore!?"

I call it self-care.

PS. Now to find something to occupy the kids with for five minutes whilst I secretly eat it.
